Benedek Regoczi is passionate about the sustainable use of ocean resources bridging the gap between research and industry in the blue economy. He has an MSc in Coastal and Marine Management and a BSc in International Management. Benedek is originally from Hungary and was partly raised in the Turks and Caicos Islands giving him a unique multicultural perspective. Benedek has a diverse background, as a founder of a drone photography company in Sweden, and as a marine ecology research officer in Iceland.

 

In his current role as Innovation Project Manager at the Iceland Ocean Cluster, he has been working on key international projects, including the Horizon Europe project, BlueBioClusters, and Nordic Innovation project Nordic Nexus Network, all anchored in the Cluster’s flagship program, 100% Fish.

 

Inspired by 100% Fish, Benedek has co-founded Havdis AS, a Norwegian biotechnology startup that transforms seafood by-products into high-value cosmetics and medical products.
